Wow! I have not blogged since January! I have been truly busy freelancing, working and designing now, and haven't had a chance to sink my teeth into some fun blogging.

Final touches for New Year's 2010
My favorite feather boa wreath, unlit for now. I tend to borrow feathers from it every year to decorate other things with....such as the party hats!
A lovely quote from TS Eliot
Mustache and hat favors ready for guests!
a splash of creativity from Seth
Elliott and I take a moment to pose:
my cute little vintage fuzzy hat...
I just felt like being all covered up! I didn't want to splash food and grease while serving and tidying up all evening. Well it just worked out anyhow.
Seth and Brad in contrasting and completely appropriate outfits!
Seth, Megan, Emily, Kolina and me
Our camera was lost for 2 hours and we missed ringing in the New Year with it. This is a reenactment of ringing in the New Year!
Cami & Chris - major props for the creative mustache hanging!

It was certainly a blast and I'm exhausted from it all! Can't wait to do it again next year!
Found this by way of Anne Sage's guest blogger, Michelle Long, author of the Well Dressed Home.
I absolutely love everything about this table setting. Where can I get those plates?

TwoHundred Two Hand Sewn Silk Mobile by KristinaMarie on Etsy
Just stunning!
via www.etsy.com This etching from PlateInkPaper is phenomenal: This is a darling site and artist "gollybard" I found this image touting turquoise as the color of 2010 on blog "delight by design" There is nothing I don't love in this interior. Just beautiful! (images via carrier and company, january canadian house and home and scanned from Style and Substance) This is a cool painting from artist Valerie Galloway....

I have a crush on blue....I have 3 rooms in my house that are just a bit darker than this blue. Everytime I see a blue bedroom I want it to be my room! So crisp and freshly inviting!
Here are a few paintings I've been working on this week! I have typically worked on more abstract textural paintings you can see here but I think working small is best for now. I have been trying to work on my basement studio which is very dark with low ceilings, so I'm not quite as into it.
I love what RVA does with blogging 10 beautiful things articles...
I found this monotype on etsy by
This ensemble and hair for Betty on Madmen:

I love Lincoln Park by my house:
This is when it snowed in '08... We walked around in the snow every day! So FUN!
This Valentine's Line I worked on for Heidi Grace Designs is available at Joanne's in Fabric! (Heidi Rox)
Lastly, I can never get enough of pix of the babies.....
I have had a very busy July-Sept and now it's time to brace for Fall and Winter.
No photos as both of my cameras have broken :(
Can't wait to post some awesome design work I've done for Heidi Grace Designs for Colorbok, but it's new unreleased work.....must be patient!
As soon as I get a new camera, I'll be able to post some of the cool stuff we did with the house and now garden.
Thinking seriously of concentrating on new paintings and Illustrations & just putting myself out there!
Not sure what the appeal was, but even through the capped evergreens, the kelly green trim and cactus green shake, I loved this house.... It has been so much work and really been a huge focus. Taking away from sketching and painting. Watch out when I'm done!
After the trees were cut down, we started a garden. I haven't fully planted along the house, because we're going to add a deck. It will replace "Stonehenge" along with a new front door.
A really amazing Green, that reads as blue. I've given up correcting my husband on the color.
It's called Narangasset Green from Benjamin Moore. It is really striking.
There is a gorgeous warm black/brown and cream on the trim.
little by little...
The house is very steep on the side. Very scary! It took forever to scrape down the windows.
Hopefully we'll get all the painting done this summer.
last summer we painted our garage, will post later.
Back to work!
